Algeciras CF lost 1-2 at the Nuevo Mirador against AD Ceuta, in a match in which the locals took the lead on the stroke of halftime thanks to a penalty converted by Álvaro Romero, which the Ceutís would turn around with two goals in the second half by Rodri Rios and Albarrán in his own goal.
The locals clearly dominated the first half, in which Ceuta barely looked at the goal of debutant Miño. A crossbar from Romero and a pair of headers from Pepe Mena, one of which was saved under the post, were the prelude to the home side’s penalty goal.
In the second half, the forces were equalized and Rodri Ríos headed after a set piece, and the unfortunate own goal by Albarrán after a lateral cross, put the final 1-2 on the scoreboard.
On Sunday, February 19 at 12:00 we will visit the Reino de León to face Cultural Leonesa.
