Algeciras C.F. and the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ) have signed an agreement for the club’s adhesion to the European Youth Card. This card is available to young people between the ages of 14 and 30 and provides discounts in approximately 30 European countries.By obtaining the European Youth Card for a one-time cost of 6 euros, young people can enjoy discounts at the official Algeciras C.F. store. This agreement represents the first step in the collaboration between the club and the Andalusian Youth Institute, which is part of the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality.

The act of accession was attended by authorities such as the sub-delegate of the Junta de Andalucía in Campo de Gibraltar, the territorial delegate of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, the head of the Andalusian Institute of Youth in Cadiz, the mayor of Algeciras and the councilors of Youth and Sports, as well as the CEO of Algeciras CF. The authorities present encouraged young people to obtain the European Youth Card, which will possibly extend its discounts to other entities in the city. Algeciras C.F.’s commitment to youth was highlighted, offering discounts of up to 10% in the official store, and the club’s social responsibility in support of youth, not only in sports, but also in culture, was emphasized.

The mayor expressed the importance of supporting the growth of the club and the identification of the youth with the colors of Algeciras C.F. The CEO of the club showed his pride in joining the European Youth Card and stressed the importance of being aligned with young people.
